The India-Pakistan conflict, intensified by India’s Operation Sindoor missile strikes on terror camps in Pakistan on May 7, 2025, has led to heightened security measures along the 1,751-km India-Nepal border. Operation Sindoor Triggers Tensions
Operation Sindoor targeted nine terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, prompting Pakistan to launch missile and drone attacks on 15 Indian cities, all thwarted by India’s S-400 air defense system. The escalation, coupled with heavy shelling along the Line of Control in Kupwara, has raised concerns about terrorist movements exploiting the porous India-Nepal border.
